JC Currais is a Cuban-American comedian, actor, and writer born and raised in Miami, Florida. Known for his high-energy performances and larger-than-life stage persona, he’s a crowd favorite with an edgy comedic style. Starting stand-up at the University of Florida, JC has since performed on TBS’s Conan, FOX’s Laughs, and Last Call with Carson Daly. He was named a TBS Top Comic to Watch at the New York Comedy Festival and a New Face of Comedy at Just For Laughs in Montreal. As an actor, he’s appeared in Babylon (2022), Lethal Weapon, and was a series regular as The Gator on Disney Channel’s Just Roll With It. Now based in Los Angeles, JC continues to tour nationally, blending sharp wit with his vibrant imagination.

Originally from the UK, he transitioned into comedy as a mid-life pivot, a move his wife ranks as better than a drug addiction but worse than a mistress. Phil has opened for notable comedians like Kyle Kinane, Laurie Kilmartin, and Chad Daniels, and performed at festivals including San Francisco Sketchfest and the San Diego Comedy Festival. A top ten finalist in the 2016 San Francisco Comedy Competition, he also produces and hosts Comedy Sharks, a popular Bay Area comedy showcase since 2013. Catch him delivering his unique wit at venues like Punch Line, Cobb’s Comedy Club, and Rooster T. Feathers.
